Thursday: Join the Data Centric Summit and Career Fair
A day of keynote speakers, panel discussions, and a workshop covering data governance, data security, AI/ML, emerging data technologies, and more comes to the CODE building
The Data Centric Summit & Career Fair is coming to the CODE building on the Downtown Mall this Thursday, November 6. Organized by the Central Virginia chapter of AFCEA, this all-day event will feature keynote speakers, panel discussions, and a workshop covering a wide range of topics, including data governance, data security, AI/ML, and emerging data technologies. This year’s summit will also include a career fair designed to connect job seekers and university graduates with companies that are actively hiring in these fields. Advance registration is required, but most sessions are free and open to the public.

You’ll also learn practical strategies for feature engineering, validation (cross-validation and bootstrapping), and ensuring models succeed beyond the lab. Get ready for real-world stories, best practices, and insights from decades in the field.
