August Event: Breaking Into Data Science & AI Engineering
Perspectives and advice on what it takes to get your first (or next!) job in data science or AI engineering
August is a rare “blue moon” month for Charlottesville Data Science, with two events in the same month! Please join us on the evening of Thursday, August 27 at the UVA School of Data Science for a panel discussion called Breaking Into Data Science & AI Engineering. We’re convening a panel of seasoned data scientists, AI engineers, and team leaders to share their perspectives and advice on what it takes to land your first (or next!) job in the field. This event will be a joint gathering of Charlottesville Data Science and the Cville AI Explorers group.

Friday, October 2 – Saturday, October 3: Save the date for beCamp 2026, one of the longest-running and most storied events in the Charlottesville technology scene. beCamp is the Charlottesville tech community’s annual “unconference”, an event fully planned and run by the people who show up.
